~ The Score ~

With Faerie Peril being created in a 'silent' film style, the score was critical to the overall feel of this project. The struggle to find just the right sound for this short was long and painstaking. Fledgling musicians ourselves we traded self made music files back and forth. Layering and overlaying sounds to get that perfect score. But nothing seemed to work. As editing of the film continued and promises by local musicians to supply samples for the score were broken, we decided we had to take matters squarely into our own hands.

An inspired thought lead us to scour our massive CD archive for the masterpiece "Disenchanted Forest" by Grim Faeries. Grim Faeries are Curse Mackey (PIGFACE, Evil Mothers, Thrill Kill Kult) and Xtina X. Samples were then exhumed from the disc and were prepared for mixing. From the first sample laid into the film it was clear this was the perfect match. Max built in sample after sample and the whole picture became clearer with each one added.

We rushed it off to Curse and Xtina for approval and with one additional vintage music sample pulled from the internet and the disturbingly dark and untitled track by the local band Sex Crime of the Sintury the score was complete.
